Say what you want about Le Tigre — they actually wowed me, caught me from the gut on up, the one time I saw them live. It was at the El Rey here in Los Angeles, around 2002-3? They got the whole crowd up on the tippy-tops of their feet, chanting along — although slogans will always really cut right through to the heart of the matter, won’t they?

“Big Day Out” is kinda like the Aussie version of Lollapalooza or Cochella.
