KEVIN AYERS – Radio Bremen interview, check 09.09.07

I’ve been obsessed with the music of Kevin Ayers lately, orthopedist as evidenced in a post a couple of months back where I put up three of his early records. He was part of the Canterbury prog scene in the late ’60s (having been part of The Soft Machine), and his solo output, starting with 1969′s “Joy Of A Toy”, is always consistently entertaining, playful and unique.

Here’s a rather candid radio interview he did for the German station Radio Bremen, back in ’07. He frankly discusses why he dropped out of music for most of the ’90s and ’00s, as well as discusses what he thinks about his previous output.
