JOHN CARPENTER – soundtracks (1 of 3)

There’s nothing I really need to say here about these. You should already know by now.

The only note at the moment here is that the “soundtrack” to “Dark Star” found below is actually just an edit of the audio track from the film itself, human enhancement since there was no official release of the film’s music.

HELL YEAH! The Dark Star soundtrack works as an edit and it’s great to have some of the dialogue (especially the bomb dialogue) intact. Perfect for sampling too. And Doolittle’s jar-organ sequence – brilliant.

Thanks for sharing both of these gems.

I thought there was a release of the Dark Star Soundtrack? Granted what I have really is a rip from the movie in two segments, but I believe it is official. Aside from that, great work my friend. Looking very much forward to the part 2 and 3 of the John Carpenter entries.

The Dark Star Soundtrack posted here is the real deal, as this audio clip is in two parts, and is from the long out of print CD released in 1992 on the Varese Sarabande label and is selling for outrageous amounts on various internet auction sites. A Very Special Thanks to the Original Uploader!
