CAPTAIN BEEFHEART (5 of 5)

Our final item in the Beefheart clearinghouse that has been Egg City Radio for the past week is a great, great set from 1978 that, after several awful bootleggy attempts to put it in the public’s hands, was officially released by Rhino Handmade in ’00. The damned thing is super-out-of-print now, though, since RH only pressed 5,000 copies; at the moment of this writing, the lone used CD available through Amazon is going for US$150.

This is one awesome sounding “boot” , it was originally aired as a live radio broadcast from NYU (I believe).
    Good Job on the post.

Thanks for the marvellous things–both this Beefheart week and in weeks past (Post-Punk Junk ‘n’ all). Many lessons and wonders, thanks to you, received here with appreciation. Cheers!

This actually still available at the iTunes store.

Did you choose all the anti-spam words? Pretty funny.
